Practical points the programs themselves state
- Use a contractor in the program's installer network and equipment on its qualified list (MA, CT, NH, RI, ME, VT all say this in some form).
- Mass Save recommends a no-cost consultation or talking with your installer about rebate expectations before work starts.
- Whole-home vs partial-home (MA) and primary-heat replacement rules (CT, ME) change the amount. Read the "Who qualifies" box on each card.
- Instant point-of-sale discounts may exist through the New England Heat Pump Accelerator; ask your installer.
