Information only, not financial, tax, legal or safety advice. Program rules and dates change. Apply only through the official program page and confirm your eligibility with the program. No heat? Call 211 or your local agency.
How we verify listings
- Primary sources first. Each listing is built from the program's own page (state agency, utility or program site). Some entries also cite a named news report, shown as such.
- Every card has a link and a date. "Last verified" is the day we read the cited page. Most cards were first read Oct 17, 2026 (ET).
- We copy, not guess. Dollar amounts, income limits and dates are copied as the page states them. If a page was unclear or two official pages differed, the card says so (for example Rhode Island's LIHEAP opening and New Hampshire's benefit range).
- We do not call or contact programs. Anything that would need a phone call is left marked "check with agency".
- Refresh schedule. Fuel prices weekly during the heating season. Program pages daily to weekly in the busy season (Oct to Dec), then monthly. Cards older than 30 days in season are flagged for re-checking.
- Corrections. We do not have a public contact inbox yet. If a card disagrees with the official page, trust the official page.
What we do not do
We do not rank programs, rate contractors, collect personal or income information, take applications, or give tax, legal or financial advice. We do not claim to list every program in New England; municipal utilities, town programs and local charities are only partly covered.
