Federal home energy programs in Oklahoma: status and dates
Oklahoma Home Energy Rebates (HOMES and HEEHR) via Oklahoma Department of Commerce
federal rebate (state-run)
Status: not launched; status not confirmed (state page has an out-of-date timeline)
Dates: No launch date published
The Oklahoma State Energy Office page at the Department of Commerce says Commerce will administer the forthcoming federal rebate programs (total $129,152,880) and will work with one or more outside contractors to run them. It describes the planned HOMES whole-home rebates ($2,000 to $4,000 per household depending on energy savings, doubled for low- and moderate-income homes) and HEEHR point-of-sale rebates (100% of cost at or below 80% of area median income, 50% for 80-150%, up to $14,000 per household). It says Commerce does not yet provide direct rebate services and that equipment bought now likely cannot be reimbursed later.
Not confirmed or worth knowing: The page still estimates availability as 'Winter 2025 - Summer 2026', which has passed, and says Commerce is updating its program material. We found no announcement that rebates are open. DOE's Program Notice 26-2 changes (see the U.S. rows) may also affect the final design.

Not confirmed or worth knowing: Funding depends on federal funds and the page says several factors could delay open enrollment. Check OKDHSLive for the 2026-27 winter date.
